I really wanted to go apple picking, but could not find a place near by. I didn’t want to go too far for fear of Kiko being whiny in the car. While I was searching for apple picking farms, I happened to find a clementine picking farm within an hour drive from our place. So this Saturday, we went to check the place out. Since they just opened up the farm for picking this Saturday, most of the clementines were still green and sour, but we managed to find some sweet ones among them. It was reslly a nice change of pace to be in a little country side area. Kiko surprised us by how many clementines she shoved in her little mouth…
We went to a place called “Mitake-en” in Isehara city, Kanagawa. They are open for clementine picking from now to mid December. 400 yen for an adult to get in and eat as much as one wants, and 250 yen/kg to take home.
