Last Saturday, my sister, her friend and I went to a fashion event called “Tokyo Girls Award“. It was an event at Yoyogi Taiikukan, which is a huge auditorium in Harajuku, Tokyo. At the event there were runway shows and some bands playing. Thanks to my sister’s connection, we got to go there for free, regular tickets cost about 8,000 yen per person, so we got lucky! It was a fun event, although I thought the runway shows were terrible. The clothes looked to be designed by and for 12 year old girls. It lacked any real fashion or artistic sense. I hate to be a runway snob but this show was just not impressive. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I were still in middle school:) On the upside, the models were super pretty! Our seats were not all that close to the runway, but thanks to the big screens we got to see the show no problem.
