Today’s inspiration comes from papercup.  This is a New Zealand label which makes handmade clothing. I’m a big fan of their clothing, as you can see from me previous posts on their collections. These pictures are from their latest winter collection (I sometimes forget that countries in Southern hemisphere have the opposite weather from Japan and the U.S.). 

I love the use of bright color, especially because we all tend to wear darker color such as gray, black, brown etc in the winter. Also love the big scallop hems, with use of velor fabric.

You might have already seen this lovely Spring/Summer 11 lookbook for Family Affairs?

Of course I love the clothes, but I also love the dreamy and airy look of the photos. I’m greatly inspired for my next photo shoot!

Family Affairs is a mother and daughter team, made by Nina and Kaya Egli, based in New York. I’m dreaming  perhaps my daughter and I can be a team to have a little sweat shop at our house in the future…:)

In the past, I wrote how I like water colors and have a fond memory of art class in elementary school where they taught how to water color. So there was no surprise how I was drawn into the illustration of Bernadette Pascuca, a woman behind DECADE.
