Ever since I saw this cute rompers on I Don’t Like Mondays, I wanted to know more about the designer. Found out, the designer, Samantha Pleet, design many more rompers than the one I saw previously. The pictures above, are from last year (2008) collections. She perfected rompers. They are feminine, but has a bit of vintage feel… I love them all!
Also found out that she is originally from Philadelphia, and now lives in NY. It is so cool to think that she is from the same city as I am!

Pleet has a limited collection in Urban Outfitter now. Her Rapscallion jumper is just adorable. Check out here, it is $58 at Urban Outfitters!

striped skirt for anthom close up vivat veritasHi! What have you been working on lately sewing wise? I just finished my first batch of orders for Anthom, which is an online shop based in the Washington D.C. area. I am so thrilled to be included in the Anthom launch which is coming up in April. The co-owner Ashley is wonderful to work with and I love her style (and she is pretty). Not only that, Anthom will be carrying great designers, one of which is Samantha Pleet. I have been following Samantha Pleet for a while as you can see in my inspiration post here. (back in 2009.. feels such a long time ago!). She is from Philadelphia, and now is in Brooklyn, I’ve really enjoyed seeing her grow and expand since I found her clothing back in 2009. Now she collaborates with Urban Outfitters and her clothes are stocked in Anthoropologie and Saks Fifth! It is inspiring to see a designer bloom and I would love to follow her path some day…

 

Anyway, these black and white striped skirts will be in stock in Anthom, and they are exclusive items only available there. I like how the side of the skirts look like chevron stripes.

Style inspiration from other etsy seller

Sometimes, I am amazed by the uniqueness and craftsmanship of other handmade seller on etsy, and spend hours and hours looking at their pages. LuluFinder was one of them. I found her page through Sally Jane Vintage, and literally spent an hour going through her sold items. They are all so beautiful! It has a nostalgic feel, and super girly and feminine, yet stylish. She reminds me of Samantha Pleet‘s last year collection. I can’t wait to see what she is going to make next!
