I was very sad last night, after attempting to make a 60s inspired scalloped hem jumper ended up looking totally like a peter pan. The length got too short, it is neither a dress or a top. I can’t even post a photo of if here, since it is so ugly. I drafted my idea, and a pattern, but sometimes I manage to make something really hedious. I am thinking of how to make it presentable, since everything else besides the hem look fine. Ugh.
By the way, is anyone thinking of entering the A-line skirt contest on Burdastyle? I just found out about it today, and thinking of making and entering one since we have a while till October 14th deadline. I am not a big fan of A-line skirt, because it looks too work outfit-ish. Especially now, that I don’t have to go to office to work, I have no business wearing business casual outfit. I have to somehow make it more playful and casual it down.. Grand prize wins a sewing machine! Sounds cool, right?

sorry about your jumper. if it makes you feel any better, i ordered that same MJ dress from ebay and it was like 3 sizes too small. I loved it so much that a part of me still wanted to keep it

doesn't it really suck when a project didn't turn out the way you wanted?! i hate it too 🙁
I am sure there is always something to be learned, though…
maybe it can be a costume for Halloween? or maybe it is wearable just the way it is! post a photo!!
