Shibuiro Mode – Kimono Refashion Dress Show
Come join a fusion event incorporating a fashion designer, an illustrator and a spatial designer. We will be exhibiting kimono upcycled dresses by me, original artwork inspired by antique kimonos from Erica Ward Illustration, and tie-in spatial design from the mind of David Takahashi. Kimono dresses (you can see some here, here and here) are one-of-a-kind, and have been reimagined for wear in daily life. These antique kimonos have been made with unique colors and textures called “Shibuiro”, which are impossible to find in off the rack fast fashion.
On Saturday 5/19, there will be show blending all these elements in what will be a fashion event unique to this venue and these designers. These elements will also be exhibited for viewing from 5/15(Tuesday) to 5/25(Friday) at the Ego – Art & Entertainment Gallery.
