I’ve been seeing a lot of double slits skirts where the slits opens up all the way to the thigh. Although this type of skirt reminds me of fundoshi a little bit, it does add an interesting (and sexy) twist to a simple maxi skirt. It also seems like a pretty easy thing to make. I’m thinking of making a simple, square shaped fabric with elastic waist in light weight fabric. Which of the above do you like the best? Would you wear it or do you think it’s too sexy to be actually wearable?

Love this idea, Chie, I think you should go for it! I especially like the one second from the top on the right.

Hi Bella, I bet you’d look really good in them since you are tall! 🙂

I love that look! I think it’s wearable, especially if you tone the sexiness down with a more casual blouse or t-shirt. I’m making one in floral crepe chiffon for this summer. I’ll make splits on side seams to make them a little less noticeable; like this one.

Hi Laura, I think it’s a great idea to tone it down with a casual top! And I think if the split is not too too high (the UO one on the top left is just way too high in my personal opinion) I’d def. wear it.

Hello,
Please help me find the second skirt from the top left.
Thanks,
Amelia

Hi Amelia, here is the direct link to Aimee’s post. The skirt is from the Stylist Own, but it seems like it has been sold out!

I’m more into one split. I think that’s a lot more sexy than two splits. Two look weird I think.
I’ve been drooling over Aimee’s skirt from the Stylist Own for ages now. If I could sew, I would have already made the exact same myself!
Love,
Rowan
