I know a great online Japanese notions store so good that I want to keep it secret. It is so good that I didn’t want to tell anyone, but after a few purchases, I figured it’s no fun not sharing this store. So here it is.
Name of the shop: Nakamura (ナカムラ)
Products: Chemical lace from 399 yen, Various buttons from 105 yen, Iron-on floral motif 315 yen (great for lingerie!), zippers from 105 yen (set ot 10!!), Overlocker thread set of three for 399 yen, belt buckles set of three for 105 yen and more..
Shipping: Free domestic (Japan) for orders more than 5000 yen, 300 yen for orders more than 3000 yen.
Since items are so cheap, I kept adding them to my shopping cart until I got free shipping. The shipping wasn’t the fastest in the world (took about a week), but they were nicely packaged and even gave me some thank you gift for ordering more than 2000 yen (last picture). I’m not sure if they ship internationally, but if you are in Japan, you save a lot of money shopping small items at this shop than at Yuzawaya or Okadaya.

Thanks for the link to such a great store! However, I don’t know Japanese, and I was wondering if it has an English website? I love their lace, but I would like to know what exactly I am signing up to pay for!

Hi, Chie! Just found your blog through the Cut Out and Keep weekly mail! Thanks a lot for the online shop links and the Tomato fabric shop in Nippori (handy!) I just moved to Tokyo and have a hard time finding fabric supply store (all I know is just Tokyu Hands). Oh and thanks a lot for your sewing machine review too!! It is so helpful! I am currently looking for a sewing machine as my last one broke down 🙁
