Hello! It’s been still hot during the day here, but I certainly feel the fall coming with the cooler mornings and evenings. It is nice to feel the crispier air, but it makes me sad that the Summer, my favorite season of all, is winding down. I planned on going to the beach more often, but unfortunately I only went once this year.
With the Summer ending, here’s what I’m working on in terms of sewing.
(1) I’m making a bikini for Kiko! We are planning on going to the beach on Labor Day, and the baby needs something to cover her up. I did not have any bathing suit fabrics in stock, and just haven’t had time to go to fabric shops for it, so I’m recycling the bathing suit I no longer wear. It’s polkadot!
(2) Making some more headbands for the upcoming shop update 🙂
(3) I have a wedding to go to this weekend, and I have nothing to wear! I’m trying to squeeze in the time to make myself a bombshell dress. I’m desperately wanting to try the new skills I learnt from Gertie’s bombshell dress class. She stresses how important it is to make a muslin first, but I’m not sure if I’ll have time..
I picked sea foam color 100% cotton seething for the dress 🙂
[…] Kiko a bathing suit was in my sewing to-do list for this week. I whipped this up pretty quickly and love the look of it on […]
